We love a good cuppa at RO HQ. Whether it's an Earl Grey in the morning or an Aussie Afternoon in the... afternoon! But did you know that some tea's have qualities that don't just taste good, but can help out with common ailments.
1. Green Tea for a slow metabolism.
Green tea is not only high in caffeine (yay) but contains the catechin epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) which has been shown to possess cardiovascular and metabolic benefits (source). So if you're feeling slow it might just do the trick (just don't drink it too late at night!)
We love the range from Two Rivers Green Tea, an Australian tea company which uses traditional Japanese methods to grow, steam and dry their leaves.
2. Chamomile Tea for sleeplessness
Chamomile tea has been used for centuries to aid sleep. While there is precious little scientific evidence about the effectiveness of chamomile in helping you reach the zzz's, millions of people continue to stand by it's drowsiness inducing qualities.
We love this Chamomile Organic Tisane from Love Tea - an Australian family run business.
3. Elderflower Tea for the common cold
This magical ingredient is used in ciders, cocktails, teas and even perfumes. But besides tasting great, elderflower has been used across the ages for various medicinal purposes. It has been used for sinuses, colds and flus and even bronchitis (source).
We love this Pukka blend of Elderberry & Echinacea (with Elderflower).
